I see the moon
The moon sees me
The moon sees somebody I wanna see
So God bless the moon
God bless me
God bless the somebody I wanna see

Long version.

I see the moon and the moon sees me
And the moon sees somebody I wanna see

Cause he knew that I loved you the very best

Indonesian Idol 2008

Well, i rarely watched these Idol things (Okay, let me say it properly, this Idol competitions), but suddenly while I logged in to this blog, I was asked to watch the result of this year’s Indonesian Idol.

The winner is a street singer (In bahasa Indonesia: pengamen), which is a good thing. At least hopefully his life will be much better in the future although I expect he will never forget his root. It was also said that he still (or already?) has one toddler, which make the winning is so much better.

Life changed & people changed!

Stolz und Vorurteil

Jane Austen was a famous English novelist[1] whose novels were translated into a lot other languages than English and some even made into movies.

One of her books that I want to discuss here is her Pride and Prejudice. I’m not going to discuss the book, the plots, the main characters. I’m going to discuss the difference of translation versions between 2 translator of this book.

The first translation is by Helga Schulz, with title “Stolz und Vorurteil”, published by Deutscher Taschenbuch Verlag with ISBN 3423123508. The second one is by Ursula and Christian Grawe, with the same title and the same publisher with ISBN 3453123247.

Dedication: Zard’s Izumi Sakai

Today, I dedicated this site to present some random Zard’s videos. One of the member of Zard, Izumi Sakai, who died just last year, 27 May 2007. Along with books, musics, especially Japanese musics have their own right to claim that they have a role in my life. First dedication goes to Zard. Thank you for the music!

Books

I read a lot of books since I was a kid. From comics (Well, they’re books too, right?) to novels like Harry Potter to serious books such as Project Management books. I was blessed that I was able to read really early (but I can’t remember when that was). Some of the first books I read were for example a book about the prophet Muhammad pbuh and of course Enid Blyton’s books.
When I contemplate whether this hobby of mine affected my life, I can certainly say that it did. If I hadn’t read those books that I read, I might not have inspirations I needed.
One thing for sure, at least, reading a book can make sure that your time in a day will be gone without you noticing it. It’s a very useful, especially when we have to wait for a long queue or we have to travel far daily to our office.
Nowadays other than reading, I use audiobooks as alternative and I also use the digital format of a book such as in Mobipocket format. With these formats, I could ‘bring’ a lot books with only using my mobile phone. Isn’t that nice?
Note: I list some of the books I read in goodreads.com.

A Good Season Ahead?

Will it be a good season ahead for Liverpool? They just destroyed Rangers 0-4 on their soil last Saturday. Although Keane was not scoring, Torres and the other players played a very attacking football. A good sign for the fans like me. Let’s hope we will have a good season in the beginning, in the middle and in the end until finally we re-capture the League title after almost 20 years.
